Class details :

Serving homemade ravioli is impressive in itself, serving it with an artichoke filling will make you famous among your family and friends. Ravioli might seem daunting and preparing artichokes too hard, but it’s really just a matter of knowing where to start. 

What do you make?

  • Angela Palermo will take you from the very basics of pasta making to rolling out shaping, filling and cooking ravioli.
  • Learn to prepare artichokes to get to the prized heart to make an exceptionally delicious spring filling. 
  • This is a hands-on workshop where you will make ravioli to eat in class.
  • Enjoy learning the process of making authentic pasta from an expert.
  • Demystify prepare and eating one of Springs’s great treats – the artichoke!

Other Information

Angela will also discuss seasonal variations and sauces and enjoy a glass of wine.

Where are the workshops held
All our workshops are held at Cornersmith Picklery, 441 Illawarra Road, Marrickville corner of Warren Road.

Parking and public transportation
We don’t have allocated parking, but we are located in a residential area. There are no parking meters or parking restrictions on Warren Road or Renwick Street.
We are walking distance from Marrickville train station, and the 423 bus stop is a few meters from our door.

What to wear
The only requirement is to wear closed toe flat shoes. We will provide aprons.

What to expect in a Cornersmith workshop
All our workshops are relaxed with a focus on home cooking skills. We keep our numbers small (12-16 people) to maximize your experience, and engagement with the topic and the teacher. You will leave with the knowledge and confidence to continue your cooking adventures at home. 

In our hands-on workshops, you will make a number of recipes, with some to enjoy in class and the rest to take home, along with all of the recipes. We recommend bringing a few spare jars or containers to these workshops (in case any extra is made) and a carry bag to take your bounty home in. 

In our demonstration classes, you will be shown the recipe/s step by step, with plenty of tasters along the way. There is no need for spare jars or containers in these classes. Dietary requirements for refreshment
You will be provided with refreshments and a light snack during the workshop. Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements when making your booking, and we will do our best to accommodate (some workshops cannot be altered, please check specific workshop description). Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate dietary requirements with less than 48 hours’ notice.

Cancellation policy
We have a strict 14-day cancellation/transfer policy. Workshop bookings are non-refundable, but you are welcome to send someone in your place. Please ensure that you have read our cancelation policy. Click here to read more.
