Where are the workshops held?

Our cooking school is running as a pop-up in some exciting location around Sydney! Check your specific workshop details for the location.

Our Autumn and Winter Schedule will be running from The Mint, Sydney Living Museum, on the second floor of this historic building.

Parking and Public Transport:

The Mint is located at 10 Macquarie Street, Sydney, next to Hyde Park Barracks Museum. 

There is no public parking at the Mint. The Domain parking station is our closest parking station and is a 10-minute walk from The Mint. Enter from St Marys Road.

Limited meter parking is available in the streets around the Royal Botanic Gardens and Hyde Park. The Domain parking station also offers a special discount to The Mint visitors who pre-book a parking spot online. See their website for details.

The Mint is a 5 minute walk from St James station (City Circle line) or a 10 minute walk from Martin Place station (Eastern Suburbs line). For up to date timetables or to find the quickest transport route, visit the Transport Infoline or call 131 500.

Please note that unfortunately there is no wheelchair access.

What to bring:

We will provide you with everything that you need. In all our classes you will make things to take home. Sometimes there is excess made, so it is a good idea to bring a few extra containers or jars, and a carry bag to take everything home in. Please check your workshop page before your class to check  if you are required to bring anything specific for your particular class.

What to wear:

The only requirement is closed toe flat shoes. We encourage you to bring your own apron if you have one, otherwise we will have a few spare on hand.

What to expect in a Cornersmith workshop:

All our workshops are relaxed and hands-on with a focus on home cooking skills. We keep our numbers small to maximise your experience, and engagement with the topic and the teacher. You will leave with the knowledge and confidence to continue your cooking adventures at home. You will be provided with refreshments and a light snack during the class.

Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements when making your booking.

Cancellation policy:

To comply with COVID-19 regulations, please inform us BEFORE coming to a class if you have any flu-like symptoms so we can arrange an alternative date for your booking. Otherwise, we have a strict 14-day cancellation/transfer policy. Workshop bookings are non-refundable, but you are welcome to send someone in your place. Please ensure that you have read our cancellation policy. 

Redeeming gift vouchers:

Some of our gift vouchers are not redeemable online. If you have a gift voucher that doesn't work on the website and would like to book into a class, you will need to email with your voucher number, your name, phone number and the name and date of the workshop you would like to attend.
